RENTON, Kelvin Alexander, aka: Steppie, Steptoe or Kelly signed off his last contract and had his final goodbyes on 29th November 2023.  He passed peacefully with his family at Holmdene Rest Home aged 83 years young.  Loved husband of Maureen, and father of Nigel and Donna Renton/Love (Melbourne), Katrina and Tony Nuttall (Auckland), Desiree and Barney Barnes (Christchurch), and Melanie and Darren Palmer (Mosgiel).  He was a proud Grandad/Pop of Tamara and Mishani, Cain, Raikyn and Jaiya, Rianna and Courtney, Erina and Christie, and great Grandad of Lyla, Cove and Milah.  Kelvin was eldest son of the late Gerald and Eileen Renton, brother of David and Cathy, and the late Ross.  He was the son-in-law of the late Raymond and Eileen Bransgrove (Milton).  A Cremation has already been held.  Kelvin wished to have a celebration of his life, which will be held on Thursday, 21st December 2023 at 2.00 pm at Leishman Funeral Services, 12 James Street, Balclutha.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Trust would be appreciated and may be left at the service. GILLOGLEY, Hugh Alexander Stewart.  Sunday 2 July 2023. Aged 76 years young.  Suddenly, but peacefully at home in Waitahuna, Clutha.
Much loved husband for 40 years of Lynn.  Adored brother of Sandra, Elizabeth and Ann (UK) and beloved son of the late Hugh and Betty (deceased).  Father of Andrew and Kathryn (Dunedin) and Grumpy Poppa to the girls.  Scotsman by birth and Kiwi by choice.  Master Mariner, traveller and lover of music.  A straight talking, honest husband, well read and intelligent with an enquiring kind who did not suffer fools.  Loved red wine, loyal friends and history.  Galloglas to the end.  As per Stewart’s wishes no funeral service will be held. However, after some private time to grieve, a get together will be held to celebrate his life and drink ALL his remaining red wine.

SCOTT, John Archibald (Jack). On July 1, 2023, peacefully at Holmdene Rest Home, Balclutha; in his 94^th year. Loved son of Isabella* and John* Scott (Farmers of Mount Stuart, Waitahuna) loved brother of Angus*, Sam*, Alec*, James*, Walter*, Nessie*, Isabel*, and Sarah*, loved Uncle of his many nieces and nephews. Burnet, Patricia Winifred (nee Armishaw). Passed away peacefully at Clutha Views, on June 28, 2023; aged 84 years. Loved wife of the late Geoffrey Burnet, loved mother and mother-in-law of Andrew and Tracey Burnet, Sarah and David Beattie, Nana Pat of Scott, and Ross Burnet and Michael, and Grace Beattie, loved great Nana of Matilda.  
A service to celebrate Pats life will be held on Thursday July 6, at 1.30pm in the Clinton Community Centre, followed by interment at the Clinton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Balclutha Riding for the Disabled would be appreciated and may be left at her service.
