BROOK, Gordon Douglas. Died on March 1, 2022 at Mossbrae Rest Home, Mosgiel; aged 90 years. Gordon passed away peacefully in the presence of his wife, Vallory – just a few days shy of their 65thwedding anniversary. Dearly loved father of Diane, Deidre and David, Wayne and Sharon, Denise (Charley), and Desirée and Bryan, grandfather to Jacinta, Daniel, Emily, Heidi, and André.  A private family service was held on Friday 4th March in Balclutha.  A quiet, thoughtful man, polite and humble, yet so very clever and caring. He will be sorely missed by those who loved him.
 

MILNE, Stuart Scott,  Surrounded with love on Thursday March 3, 2022 at Clutha Health First, in his 83rd year. DAVIDSON, Mervyn Patrick (Merv). Unexpectedly, on March 4, 2022, at Clutha Health First; in his 80th year. Loved partner of Doreen, loved Dad of Robbie, Kevin, Stephanie, Stuart, Bevan, and Karen and their partners, a loved Grandad, brother, brother- in-law, and uncle. Special thanks to the staff at Clutha Health First, and the wonderful staff at Access.  Through his life he gave his best, he earned his keep, now he’s earned his rest.  At Merv’s request, a private service has been held. NEALE, Kathleen McEwan. In loving memory of Kathleen Neale, who passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 9, 2022. Kathleen will be sadly missed by her family, Cameron, Robyn, Sandi, Frankie, Leslie and her loving husband, Ian. 

MAGEE, Wolfred Connor (Bill/Willy). Peacefully, on March 9, 2022, at Clutha Views Life Care, Balclutha; aged 87 years. ALLINGTON, Margaret Anne, (nee Gold). On March 15, 2022, at Dunedin Hospital; aged 84 years. HANLON, Gwyneth Anne, (Anne). Peacefully, on March 16, 2022, at Clutha Views Lifecare, Balclutha; aged 73 years; dearly loved wife of Paul.  At Anne’s request, a private cremation will be held

SCOTT, Graeme Keen.  Peacefully, on March 21, 2022, at Leslie Groves Hospital, Dunedin; aged 84 years. Dearly loved husband and soulmate of Rosalie for 59 years, a much-loved father and father-in-law of Aleesa, Jayson and Melanie, Tineka, a cherished Grandad of Kelsey, Conner, and Harrison; Cody, and Mitchell; Brennan, and a much-loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle.  The family wish to thank Leslie Groves Hospital for their care and compassion.  A service to celebrate Graeme’s life will be held on Friday, March 25 at 1 p.m. in the Owaka Community Centre, Ovenden Street, Owaka followed by a private cremation.  A Vaccine Passport will be required to attend.  Due to Covid restrictions ‘Red’ numbers are limited to 100. LYON, Cherie Jayne; On March 24, 2022, our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend went to rest unexpectedly in her home in Milton; aged 62 years.  Dearly loved wife of the late Stewart William Lyon, a much-loved mother and mother-in-law to Matthew and Jax, Katherine and Jonno, Robert, and a treasured Grandmother to Jenah, Lily, Matilda, and Vinny.  We will gather to farewell Cherie on Friday, April 1, at 1.30 pm in the Tokomairiro Co-operating Parish, 34 Union Street, Milton, followed by interment at the Fairfax Cemetery, Milton. A Vaccine Passport will be required to attend.  Due to Covid restrictions ‘Red’ numbers are limited to 200.   In lieu of flowers, donations to Tokomairiro Co-operating Parish Restoration Fund would be appreciated and may be left at Cherie’s service.

JARDINE Dorothy Dawn (Dawn). Passed away peacefully, on March 28, 2022, at Holmdene, Balclutha; aged 86 years.  Dearly loved wife and best friend of the late Jack Jardine, Loved mother and mother-in-law of Mark (Australia), Judy and Barry Gutsell (Invercargill), Sally and Rick (Balclutha), and treasured Nana of Tania, Adam, Logan, Dylan, Kayla, Georgia,  Dominic, and Caleb and Great Nana to  Emilia and Breeana.  A celebration of Dawn’s life will be held in Leishman’s chapel, 12 James Street, Balclutha, 1 April 2022 at 1.30 pm.  Numbers are limited to 200 with a vaccine pass.  Messages to 98 Clyde Street Balclutha 9230.

Peacefully, on March 30, 2022 at Clutha Views Lifecare, Balclutha.    Dearly beloved wife of Tony*, a loved daughter of Evelyn* and Alfred* Smith and a loved sister of Enid*, Iris*, Gordon*, Percy*, and Murray* all late of Auckland (*denotes deceased). MUNRO, Audrey Joyce. Peacefully, on March 31, 2022, at Clutha Views Lifecare, Balclutha; in her 102nd year. Dearly loved wife of the late Finlay Munro, cherished mother and mother-in-law of Roger and Sue (Balclutha), Judy and Murray Croft (Kurow), Gill and Jim Meehan (Kurow), Michael and Mary (Benhar), and a much loved grandmother of Susan, Christie, Tracy; Stephen, Nichola, Christopher; Scott, Charlotte, Sarah; Ben, and Donna and their families, and adored great-grandmother of her 27 great-grandchildren.  Thank you to the staff at Clutha Views Lifecare for their extra special care of Audrey for the past three years. BALLOCH, Donald (Don) of Kaitangata.  6th February 1938 - 1st April 2022.  On Friday the 1st of April, Don passed away peacefully at Ross Home Dunedin.  Much loved husband of Joan for 63 years. Loved father of Donny (Cairns), Fiona and Richard (Balclutha).  Grandad of Jaimie and Tim, Allyse and Caitlin.  Grandad Don of Olivia, Charlie and Sophie.  A service to celebrate Don's life will be held on Wednesday 6th April 2022 at 1.30 pm at Leishman’s chapel, 12 James Street, Balclutha, followed by Interment at Kaitangata cemetery.  Messages to 27 Renfrew Street Balclutha 9230.

ROOK, Sharon Marie (Wifey).  My beautiful wife of 25 years passed away suddenly on April 3, 2022 ;aged 62 years at Clutha Health First.  Beloved wife to David for 25 years and mother to Benjamin.  Thanks to the medical professionals at Balclutha.  Rest in Peace my Darling.

GUNN, Allan Michael 15.12.41 – 7.4.22  Suddenly, at home, aged 80 years.  Dearly loved husband of 52 years to Faye.  Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Tony (Christchurch),  Paula and the late Craig Dickel (Dunedin).  Treasured “Grandad on the Farm” to Amelia.  Treasured and devoted son of Gordon* and Mary* Gunn.  Dearly loved brother and brother-in-law of Trevor and Patricia Gunn (Herbert), Maureen and Alan Watt (Palmerston), Hazel* and Gordon* Gillespie, and Joy* and Stan* Thomson.  Much loved uncle to all his nieces and nephews and warmly regarded friend to many (*Denotes deceased).  A Requiem Mass will be held for Allan at St Marys Catholic Church, Chaucer St, Milton, on Wednesday 13 April at 1.30pm with a private burial to follow.  Messages to 20 Constitution Avenue, Milton. 

BYRON, William George (Bill).  Unexpectedly, on April 9, 2022 at Dunedin Hospital; in his 74th year. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Laureen, much loved father and father-in-law of Andrew and Bernie, Susan and Derek, Paul and Sophie, Samantha and Peter, and Emma and Mike, cherished Poppa of all his grandchildren and great grandchildren, a loved son, brother, brother-in-law and uncle. JONES, Michael (formerly of Lovells Flat).  On April 13, 2022 in Wanaka, Michael aged 71 years passed away after a hard-fought battle. Loved husband of Jeannette, loved father and father in-law of Deborah and Ben, Timothy and Sarah, Christopher and Jess. Unconditionally loved Grandad of Michaela, Charlie and Lucas. Loved son of *Jack and *Lyla Jones, loved brother and brother-in-law of Jennifer and Wayne, and *Christine. MCCALL, Rikki Robin Lindsay. 
5/7/1988 - 8/5/2022.  Tragically taken away from us on May 8, 2022 in Owaka.  Dearly loved and missed by all his family and friends.  An amazing father, loving husband, bloody good mate and an absolute top bloke.  Taken far too soon.  Rikki's funeral will be held at the Owaka Community Centre on Saturday, May 14 at 1:00 pm .  Join us in Rikki's casual manner, in your farming gears, gumboots and all.

BAIRD, Lorna Gladys.  Peacefully, on May 9, 2022 at Holmdene Rest Home, Balclutha; aged 82 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Allen (Bairdy), much loved mother and mother-in-law of Devon and Jeanette, Sharon and Ross Proctor, Raewyn and Barney Maguire, Ashlea and Doug MacDougall, cherished Grandma Lorna of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  A Memorial service for Lorna will be held on Friday, May 13 at 11am in Leishman’s Chapel, 12 James Street, Balclutha. BETHUNE, Lorraine Gladys (nee Willetts).  Peacefully, on May 15, 2022, at Holmdene Rest Home with family by her side; aged 78 years. Loved wife of Barry for 61 years, cherished mother of the late BJ, and Kathryn, loved Gran to Amber, Zoe, and Hannah, and a loved great-Gran to Harlow, Lenore, and Barnaby Fox. Lorraine will be resting at home in Kaka Point from Tuesday for those wishing to pay their respects. A celebration of Lorraine’s life will be held on Thursday, May 19, at 1.30pm in Leishman’s Chapel, 12 James Street, Balclutha. DUNN, Gweneth Fay (Gwen). Peacefully, on May 19, 2022, at Holmdene, Balclutha. Dearly loved wife of the late Neville Dunn, a much-loved mother and mother-in-law of the late Bill Dunn, Deb and Ian Willocks, Michelle and Ross McLaren, a very loved Grandma/Granny to her 11 grandchildren and 7.5 great-grandchildren, a much-loved sister, sister-in-law, cousin and friend, a respected Aunt to her nieces and nephews.

Adored Grandad of Darren, Nigel, Simon, Joanne, Ella, Lucy, Georgia, Michael, Candice, Mark, Amy, Anna, Sienna, and partners. Loved Great Grandad of all his great grandchildren.
