RYAN, Audrey Joan (Joan): On Friday, May 7 2021, in her 89th year; Joan passed away at Holmdene in the company of Maurice, her loving husband and best friend of 68 years.  Loved and adored mother and mother-in-law of Shaun and Sheryl, Liz and Grant, Maree and Ally, Judy and Tony, Brent and Alain, Michelle and Steve.  So loved by her Grandchildren Kelsi; Jason, Sarah and Richard; Lara, Monique, Clare and Nicole; Emma, Rory, Lydia and Luke; Eve and James. Loved great-grandmother of her 22 great- grandchildren.  A Funeral Mass to celebrate Joan's life will be held at St Mary McKillop Catholic Church, Gordon Street, Balclutha on Wednesday, May 12 at 1.30pm, followed by an afternoon tea at Leishman’s Reception lounge, 12 James Street, Balclutha, then a private burial.  Grateful thanks to the caring staff at Access and Holmdene.  Messages to 8 Paisley Street, Balclutha, 9230. 

RATTRAY, Edna Mary (formerly McCall, nee Smith).  Peacefully, on May 8, 2021 at Matariki Resthome, Te Awamutu; in her 92nd year. Dearly loved wife of Bill Rattray (Otorohanga), and the late Hugh McCall (Clydevale); loved mother and mother-in-law of Jeff and Margaret McCall (Balclutha), Graham and June McCall (Ashburton), Sandra McCall and Zac Smith (Nelson), Doug McCall and Roberto Taddeucci (Italy), loved Nana to Larissa and Hamish Brown (Waitahuna), Michelle and Mike Inder (Paretai), Bevan McCall (Balclutha) and David McCall (Clydevale); Keiran and Erin McCall (Ashburton), Katie and Jeff Hill (Ashburton), Donna McCall (Ashburton) and Jason and Ayesha McCall (Te Puke); Garth Stirling and Maria Galvin (Melbourne), Amie and Gary Tobin (Nelson), and their families.  Best friend to the Rattray family. McCABE, Patricia Anne (Pat). Unexpectedly, but peacefully, on May 14, 2021 at Dunedin Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, aged 83 years.  Dearly loved wife of the late Ron, much  loved and adored mum and mum-in-law of Kevin and Joan, Debbie and Monty, Jackie and John, Viv, and the late William, a treasured Nana Pat of Beki and Blaire, Nick and Nicholas, Danny and Sara, Denise and John; Jamie and Anna, Bianca and Josh, Sam, Zoe, Lane and Christy-ann, Kyle and Calley; Taylor, Jordan and Alice; Ben, Regan; and great Nana Pat to Rylan, Josh, Jordan, Cayden; Elsie, Rosa; Luca, Kaden, Inti, and Charlotte.      “Always in our hearts”.
A service to celebrate Pat’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 19 at 1.30pm in our Chapel, 12 James Street, Balclutha, followed by a private cremation. LOCKETT, Eileen Barbara (nee Lennon); Sadly, on May 14, 2021, after a short battle with illness, Eileen passed away at Clutha Health First, Balclutha; aged 79 years.   Wife to the late Allen John Lockett, Mum to Steve and Sharon Calder, Suzanne and Mark Kingipotiki, Nan-Nan to her 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, and a loved sister to Audrey, Murray and the late Joyce, Les, and Wayne.  Eileen’s family wish to thank the staff at Clutha Health First for their dedicated care, “you were amazing”.  A service to celebrate Eileen’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 19 at 11 a.m. in the Southland Crematorium, Hawthorndale, Invercargill. DUNLOP, Gwendoline Mabel (Gwen – nee Cockburn). On May 18, 2021 at Clutha Health First; aged 92 years.  Loved wife of the late David (Davy), a much-loved mother and mother-in-law of Marilyn and the late Barry Stewart (Auckland), David and Marley (Cromwell), Ron and Hannah (Auckland), Yvonne and the late Graeme Thomas (Balclutha) and a treasured grandmum to Brendan and Emma; Jackie and Johno, and Karen; Amy, and Suzanna, and a loved great grandmum of her 5 great-grandchildren.  A special thank you to all the staff at Clutha Health First for the care they took of Mum.     A service to celebrate Gwen’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 25 at 1 pm in the Balclutha Presbyterian Church, Clyde Street, followed by interment at the Balclutha Lawn Cemetery. MILLS, Seaton Stuart. On 18 May,2021 suddenly on his beloved farm. Loved husband of the late Jeannine, loved partner and soulmate of Kay, cherished Dad and buddy of Ian (Charlie) and Tania, Heather and Jeff, Barry and Carolyn, adored Pop of Celeste and Roy, Riah and Matt, Renee, and Julia; Nastasha and Kyle, and Lachie, Lisa and Tya; Daniel, Sam, and Kirsty; special friend and Pop to Chris and Tracey, Baylie and O’Neil, Kate and Quinn Gard.  A service to celebrate Seaton’s life will be held on Friday, May 21 at 1.30pm in our Chapel, 12 James Street, Balclutha, followed by a private interment. TWEED, Kerin Ronald. Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his supportive family on May 18, 2021; aged 75 years.  Loving husband and best friend of Glennys, a much- loved father of Gail and William, Brenda and Gav, Wendy and Gavin, Rhonda and Andy, a cherished grandad and great-grandad, son of *Phyl and *Ron Tweed, brother to Lynn and *Gilbert and Verna and Graeme.  (*denotes deceased).
Many thanks for the care and support from the staff at his second home, Ward 3C at Dunedin Hospital and the staff at Clutha Health First and Clutha Views Lifecare.   A service to celebrate Kerin’s life will be held on Monday, May 24 at 1.30 pm in the South Otago Town and Country Club, Yarmouth Street, Balclutha then leaving for the Balclutha Lawn Cemetery. COLLINS James, Ambrose (Doctor Jim). Passed away peacefully, on May 21, 2021 at Yvette Williams Retirement Village, Dunedin; aged 91 years.  Husband of the late Margaret, Father to Angie, and Peter, Grandfather to Vincent, Antony, Simon, and James.  Special friend to Jeannette Blair.    A service to celebrate Jim’s life will be held on Saturday, May 29 at 1.30 pm in the South Otago Town and Country Club, Yarmouth Street, Balclutha then leaving for the Balclutha Lawn Cemetery. MCMANUS, Bradley Shane (Shane) - 6.3.1960 -8.6.2021.    It is with sadness that we announce that Shane passed away peacefully.  He was surrounded by his loving Wife and Whanau.  Shane will be sadly missed by Adrienne, Roxanna, Leroy and Mokopuna and his siblings, Lynette, Pierre, Tracey, and Amanda.  A service to celebrate Shane’s life will be held on Saturday, June 12, at 1.30 pm in the Kaka Point Community Hall, followed by a burial at the Kaka Point Urupa.  The Whanau invite those who wish to come back for refreshments at the Kaka Point Community Hall.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the South Otago Cancer Society.  AROHANUI SHANE.    Messages C/- P.O Box 15, Milton 9220

GRIFFIN, Helen Marguerite. On June 11,2021 unexpectedly at her home; in her 88th year. Dearly loved wife of the late Murray, much loved mother and mother -in-law of Ron and *Coralie Berry (Auckland), David and Brenda (Alexandra), Shane and *Julia (Milton), and  Paul (Milton), cherished Nana of Matthew, Emma, James, and Sophie; Holly, and Jenna. Loved sister and sister-in-law of *Athol Girvan, *Ainsley and Jean Girvan, and a loved aunty of her nieces and nephews. (* denotes deceased).
A service of farewell for Helen will be held on Thursday June 17, at 1.30pm in the Milton Coronation Hall, Union Street, Milton, followed by a private cremation.
